Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) at SP-I Lab

Today, we hosted 19 engineering major undergraduate students from SHPE at SP-I Lab. During the visit, the SHPE students discussed research opportunities with Dr. Kalliontzis and PhD students from our research group had the chance to share their projects on UHPC, High-Strength Steel, and Wave Energy Converters. The PhD students also gave lab tours to the visiting SHPE students and discussed several laboratory equipment and capabilities that exist in the UH laboratory.

SP-I Lab hopes for a fruitful long-term collaboration with SHPE in support of STEM education.
